Creative Universe

From my earliest recollections, my artistic endeavors have been fueled by a profound connection to nature, the ethereal realm, magic, ancient civilizations, life, death, ceremonial beauty, and love.

My artistic expression spans diverse mediums, showcasing a blend of skills across disciplines. Proficient in metalsmithing, ceramics, jewelry crafting, textiles, sculpture in all its forms, photography, and 2-D art, I have also honed my digital artistry over the past 16 years as a graphic designer.

While my heart leans toward the tangible allure of traditional art, I hold a genuine reverence for the ever-evolving landscape of technology.

Painting serves as a therapeutic haven for me, with a focus on creating realistic depictions of life and landscapes, cosmic compositions, or work inspired by the flora and fauna of forests and beyond.

In ceramics, my passion lies in fashioning functional vessels, such as my recent creation—a canopic jar paying homage to the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet.

Now, it cradles the ashes of my father.

My jewelry pieces come to life through a fusion of metal, wood, resin, crystals, and elements sourced from the forest, such as lichen and moss.

Wood burning and carving, skills passed down by beloved patriarchs, captivate and inspire me. Crafting wands and altarpieces is another aspect of my creative journey I hold dear.

Among my earliest artistic loves is apparel design, a passion ignited at the age of six when my mother introduced me to her sewing machine and taught me to use it. The ability to craft my own costumes and wardrobe for self-expression captivated me. In recent years, I've channeled this love into designing and sewing custom cloaks for D&D Dungeon Masters and cosplayers.

The all-encompassing theme across the body of my recent work is connection to nature. I'm fascinated by organic forms, our place as humans in the natural world, the interplay of our modern advancements and ancient ways of being.

As a homesteader and avid gardener, I am given perpetual opportunities to commune with the earth. This closeness is a constant source of inspiration and wonder for both my visual art and my writing.

My art isn't just inspired by external influences; it encapsulates a piece of my essence, and I infuse a bit of myself into everything I create.

Thank you for embarking on this digital art journey with me!
